Fred Perry Tell Us Your Story
Fred Perry’s more than 100 year legacy as a tennis player and brand has more than cemented itself as one of Britain’s most iconic labels. Through its history, Fred Perry’s Laurel logo has been seen on the polo shirts of many subcultures in the past 50 odd years. The “Tell Us Your Story” campaign is part educational, part interactive as Fred Perry highlights its past participation in the world of fashion. The whole movement began in 1957 and the original M12 polo shirt, known as the first shirt to carry a collar tipping. Its popularity with football fans saw West Ham fans request their own custom colorway in maroon and blue. From there, Fred Perry made its way into subcultures such as Mod in ‘59, Northern Soul in ‘63 and Punk in 1976. A full list of stories can be seen over at the site. As mentioned the interactive aspect of the campaign allows people to submit their own personal stories involving Fred Perry for a chance to win £5,000

Wallpaper* celebrates the Tate Modern’s 10th birthday with a nice little feature of past highlights and installations. The gallery is gearing up for an expansion, to be handled by Herzog and de Meuron. One of the key spaces in the museum is the Turbine Hall, site of the Unilever Series, which invites artists to create site specific work. This forms the basis for Wallpaper*s slide show, a perfect rundown of the series and a worthy exploration of some of the best of the Tate Modern.

A collaboration between Jean Paul Gaultier and French furniture brand Roche Bobois is due to be unveiled, in full, over the coming months. For now we can offer a what’s to come, by taking a look Jean Paul Gaultier’s renovation of Elle Decoration’s suite.
The apartment is located on the top floor of Paris’ architecture museum and was last decorated by Maison Martin Margiela and in 2008 by Christian Lacroix. Featuring different themes throughout, ranging from bleached effects to an abandoned conservatory, each space is extravagant. Stay tuned for the full collaborative venture!

August seems to be the month of choice, although we’ll surely confirm an exact date in the coming months. Stay tuned!
Adidas Micropacer Brogue
Adidas had killed any love we had left for the micropacer with their millions of rubbish colourways but then a shining light has been seen.....These are the best sneakers we have seen in a while perfectly excuted in our opinion
Selectisim writes...Today we came across the adidas Micropacer Brogue and thought that we just had to show you this one. Some of you might remember the Micropacer, a running sneaker that actually impressed with its technology when coming out, having a little computer in the tongue. Since a while it is a retro sneaker and the new Brogue version is right down our alley. Premium leathers, wingtip accents and what we like best is actually not so obvious – the all leather outer sole.

Lichtenstein’s experiments with still life began in 1972 and continued for almost a decade. Many of the 50 works on display taking direct influence from print advertisements, creating confluence between the painters work in still life and more noted pop art production.

A Banksy painting worth £200k arrived outside Simon Duncan’s west London home inside a battered old van last week, sent unexpectedly to Duncan, a 41-year-old web developer, as compensation for the world-renowned graffiti artist having coincidentally chosen the name of Duncan’s band as the title for his film, Exit Through the Gift Shop.
“I am a drummer in a band that was called Exit Through the Gift Shop that I started with friends 18 months before I turned 40. It was a kind of midlife crisis, but we are still going, with a different line-up, and it has become a bit more serious,” said Duncan, who agreed to change his band’s name to Brace Yourself in an arrangement with Banksy.
“We had these hilarious emails from someone saying he was Banksy, but we didn’t know if they were genuine,” said Duncan. “Then a scruffy white van arrived. The driver had no idea what he was carrying.”
The band plan to unveil their new name and backdrop, which shows the grim reaper riding a dodgem car, at a London gig this week.
“When we saw the painting we could not believe it,” said Duncan. “It is the size of a double bed, for a start. We had to insure it, so a man from Sotheby’s came over to see it in my loft. He said to me, ‘This is surreal. I have just been valuing an 18th-century portrait in a stately home, but it is not as valuable as this.’”
The band have put the painting in storage at Sotheby’s and will perform in front of a full-size copy.
